Alert me to bad records

Q: "How can Salesforce alert me when I've got problematic records? Without Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, or Code?"

A: Subscribe, baby, subscribe. Salesforce has a great, underrated feature in the "Subscribe" button on Reports:

If I have a Report that shows me problematic records (eg, unpaid invoices), I can tell Salesforce to ONLY notify me when that Report's got records:

This is superior, imo, to Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, or Code because
  • end users can set it up;
  • I can save Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, or Code for admin-level functions; and
  • it doesn't count against Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, or Code limits.
And it's better than "Schedule Future Runs" because it's only sent when criteria are met.
